IMO Skywarn stands for Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio Skywarn. IMO Skywarn was formed in 1996, just after the National
Weather Service (NWS) announced that Northern Indiana would be getting a new
weather service office to replace the South Bend and Fort Wayne offices that were closed in the
reorganization of the NWS. The new complete Weather Warning office would
be
equipped with the new 88D Doppler Radar.

Please take a few minutes to review the information available on
this website. It is designed for active members of any Skywarn
program, amateur radio operators who may want to become members of Skywarn, and
the general public.
